# Gathering (Lumberjacking)

In **Eternal Odyssey**, players can gather wood by chopping down trees through the Lumberjacking skill. This resource is essential for crafting various items and contributes to increasing your Gathering skill.

## **Lumberjacking Overview**

Lumberjacking involves using an axe to chop down trees and gather wood. The wood collected can be used in various crafting recipes, from creating arrows and bolts to crafting tools and other essential items.

## **Lumberjacking Mechanics**

To chop down trees, right-click on the target tree (for Premium players). If you are not Premium, right-click your axe and then left-click the tree to start chopping. Each successful chop will grant you wood and increase your Gathering skill.

## **Lumberjack's Axe**

There is only one type of axe for Lumberjacking:

* **Lumberjack’s Axe:** <mark style="color:yellow;">This is the only tool required for the Lumberjacking skill. It can be obtained from NPCs, purchased, or crafted using materials found in the game. ## **Tree Chopping**

You can chop down any tree you find in the world of Eternal Odyssey.

* **Tree Cooldown:** <mark style="color:yellow;">After chopping down a tree, it will take 900 seconds (15 minutes) for the tree to reappear.</mark>

## **Gathering Skills**

Lumberjacking is part of the **Gathering Skill**, which is shared with [Mining](/game-mechanics/gathering-mining.md). To improve your Gathering skill, chop trees regularly to increase your efficiency and unlock further crafting options.

## **Crafting with Wood**
